Additional Managing Director & Business Co-Ordinator

Mr. SM Shahidullah is the Business Coordinator of the Company. He joined Central Insurance PLC on June 1, 1988, as a Deputy Manager. He holds a Master of Social Science in Government & Politics from Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology.

Currently, Mr. Shahidullah serves as Additional Managing Director of the Company and also heads the Moulovibazar Branch. He is an outstanding insurance professional with 39 years of experience in the industry.

Badrul Munir

Deputy Managing Director

Mr. Badrul Munir is the Deputy Managing Director  of the Company. He obtained his BSS (Honors), MSS degree in Economics from University of Dhaka. He started his career with the Federal Insurance Company Limited since 1988 after completing his post graduate studies. Mr. Munir associated with Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) as Joint Secretary & Former President of Bangladesh Young Economist Association. He is Member of Management Committee as well. Md. Noor-Ul-Alam FCS, LL.B

Company Secretary and Head of HR & Admin

Mr. Md. Noor-Ul-Alam FCS, LL. B is the Company Secretary and head of HR & Administration Department of the Company. Having business graduation in Professional BBA, Mr. Noor obtained his MBA from University of Development Alternative (UODA). He also completed M.A in English Language from Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) and LL. B from Dhaka Law College. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the same institute. Besides, he is also a member of Institute of Internal Auditors Bangladesh (IIAB).

He has more than one and a half of decades of experience in Corporate Management in the field of Board Affairs, HR and Administration working with several non-life insurers and couple of group of companies. Mr. Noor is a writer and a poet. A number of his articles and poems on various topics have been published in various dailies and journals of the country. Mr. Noor is a life member of Senbag Samity, Dhaka and Noakhali Samity, Dhaka.

Md. Abul Hasanat

Mr. Md. Abul Hasanat is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President & CAMELCO of  the Central Insurance PLC. He brings with him a dynamic career of more than 20 years of valuable experience in the insurance industry and other sectors. He has been working in this company since 8th May 2019. He obtained Master’s degree in accounting with honors from Jagannath University & College under Dhaka University. He has completed 3 years Article ship from Howladar Yunus & Co. Chartered Accountants firm and also passed CA Intermediate Examination & now he is in Professional Level. Furthermore, he is an ITP at NBR and member of Dhaka Taxes Bar Association (DTBA).

Rezaul Islam

Head of Information Technology

Mr. Rezaul Islam serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of Information Technology at Central Insurance Company Limited. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Eastern University, a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science from the Bangladesh Institute of Management, and a PGD in Project Management from the Academy of Business Professionals certified by EduPro UK.

A certified IT professional, Mr. Islam holds credentials in ITIL V3 (2011), ISO/IEC- 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Lead Auditor certified by Exemplar Global USA. Additionally, he is an Advanced Certified Management Professional (ACMP 4.0)  industrial revulation 4.0 standard from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

Over the course of 15 years, Mr. Islam has built extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors. He has served in key technical roles at organizations such as Thakral Information System Limited and Metro Global Telecom Services Limited as System Support Engineer and RF Engineer respectively.

He has participated in numerous IT trainings, workshops, and professional development courses, and is an active member of the IT Leadership Community (ITLC) as well as several other professional IT associations and communities. Also an independent IT consultants.

Ainur Rahman

Mr. Ainur Rahman is designated as Executive Vice President & Head of Claims & Reinsurance of Central Insurance PLC. and his educational qualifications are an M.S.S. (Economics) MBA (Accounting), and an Insurance Diploma (Cert) from Bangladesh Insurance Academy, Dhaka. He has knowledge and practical experience in reinsurance, claims & underwriting. He has taken Comprehensive reinsurance training organized by K M Dastur Reinsurance Brokers (Pvt.) Ltd and also overseas cedants training organized by J B Boda Reinsurance Brokers (Pvt.) Ltd. India. He participated in various claims management training, seminars and workshops, and training on AML/CFT conducted by Bangladesh Bank. He joined Central Insurance PLC. on 18th September, 2023. Before joining Central Insurance PLC., he rendered services to Sikder Insurance Company Limited, Rupali Insurance Company Limited, and Islami Insurance Bangladesh Limited holding different positions in the claims & reinsurance and underwriting department. His total experience in insurance is about 18 years.

Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed Chowdhury is designated as Senior Manager and Head of Information Technology Department (Current Charge) at Central Insurance PLC. Imtiaz Ahmed Chowdhury is an accomplished IT professional with over 11 years of experience in the IT and Telecommunications sectors, having worked with reputed organizations such as IBM Bangladesh, Airtel Bangladesh, Robi Axiata, Thakral Information System, Edison Group (Symphony Mobile), and Central Insurance PLC.


He holds an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering, complemented by professional training in Microsoft environments, Active Directory, endpoint security, Office 365, and IT infrastructure management. He has also attended workshops on network security, database administration, disaster recovery, and system administration, enhancing his expertise in managing enterprise IT environments.

Vastly experienced Mr. Khosru Dostagir Alam joined Central Insurance Company Limited as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on November 03 , 2024. Before joining here, he has been discharging his dedicated service for more than 30 years at the Sadharan Bima Corporation in different departmental / divisional heads and zonal heads. During his career in SBC, he received Advanced Non-life Insurance & Reinsurance courses from both within the country and abroad. He also attended many workshops & seminars on the insurance matter.

Academically he has Honor’s and Master’s Degree from Chittagong University in public Administration. By profession, Mr Khosru is an Associate of Bangladesh Insurance Academy, Dhaka. In addition to that Mr. Khosru has received LL.B from Chittagong Law College Under Chittagong University. And got his advocateship from Bangladesh Bar Council. He did his Post Graduate Diploma in personnel management (PGDPM) from Bangladesh Institute of Management and Post Graduate Diploma (Export & Import) Management from American International University of Bangladesh and Business Institute of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. (Jointly organized).
